Maximum Coziness for the Car

Maxi-Cosi Pria 70As a mother I am concerned about the products I buy for my baby, including the car seat to be used for traveling. I look specifically for natural products for babies and children as I prefer them for my own use. Therefore, I look for products that are easy to use, clean, and are functional not only for the child but the parents, as well.

The product I am reviewing today is the Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 with Tiny Fit Convertible Car Seat. This seat is designed for children as small as 9 pounds to 40 pounds rear facing and 22 to 70 pounds front facing allowing parents the ability to use this seat depending on the growth of the child for quite some time. The manufacturer recommends that the product can be used for the first 2.5 to 3 years.

The Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 car seat has many features that are designed to keep your child cozy and comfortable whether on a long car trip or even on a plane as it is FAA-approved. First and foremost, the seat is easy to install, a must for parents on the go. The seat fits in most cars, vans, trucks, and SUVs. It has a one click latch system for quick click-in and release for better and safer installation. This allows the seat to remain stable at all times. Even the baby has some special features to enjoy such as a height adjustable headrest, integrated, gripping cup holder not only to hold a cup but toys and snacks, and the material is comfortable for baby as it wicks away sweat and cleans up easily should an accident occur such as vomiting or spilling. The fabric is excellent for warm to hot climates as the child is more comfortable than using a seat from another manufacturer. All you have to do is remove the lining, machine wash, and replace! How easy is that?! A parent’s dream is having a car seat that is easy to maintain and clean while at the same time being comfortable for their child. The seat also has 3 reclining positions to use depending on the size and weight of the child. Position 1 is forward facing, the most upright and is used for children between 40 and 70 pounds. Position 2 is only slightly reclined and can be used both rear and forward facing. Position 2 is recommended for forward use only if the child is less than 40 pounds. Position 3 is totally reclined and is rear facing only. This is the recommended use for newborns and infants.

The manufacturer has also indicated they have reinforced the sides of the seat to assist in side impact accidents. Reviews from current customers both on the manufacturer’s website and other online sites have indicated that this seat maintained its integrity at the time of an accident. Customers have indicated that this seat protected their children so well they would recommend it for that reason alone!

While the accolades for this seat are high, it has an average 4.8 star rating out of 5; there are drawbacks that have been recorded, as well. The chief complaint is that the seat weighs more than 20 pounds and is difficult for a mother to install easily because of the size. One reviewer stated it would take two adults to get the seat on a plane properly.
