Peek-A-Boo, I See You

Lamaze Peek-A-Boo Forest is a soft book intended for babies. It is an oversized, soft, and colorful book that takes your baby on a journey through a fun and surprising forest. The pages have multiple textures on them to help keep your baby interested and help them learn how things feel different.
This book also has crinkle spots on the pages where a baby can both feel and hear things which encourages them to play, learn, and discover. The cover, for instance, has a crinkly owl on the cover that babies can push. The pages have flaps on them and babies can play peek-a-boo with whatever is underneath each one.
Babies can learn about all sorts of different animals in the Peek-A-Boo Forest. They are made using bright colors and multiple textures. Each animal is really friendly looking and so encourage babies to touch them. There is also a simple and fun story that features the animals on the page and what adventures they are on.
This book is published by Lamaze and Tomy. They crafted this book along with child development experts. The Peek-A-Boo book helps babies grow and develop by recognizing letters, seeing different animals, and feeling different textures. This book is also a great way for parents and children to spend time together exploring the pages again and again. Babies can use this book on their own as it is soft and light without any choking hazards. The peek-a-boo flaps are big and light enough for even little fingers to move around.
Another nice feature of the Lamaze Peek-A-Boo Forest is that you can toss it in the wash when it gets dirty. It says to handwash but throwing it in the washer and dryer once in a while shouldn’t do it any harm.
There are five two-page spreads in this book. Each page is a hit with my baby as he loves them all. He doesn’t really understand the story, of course, but he still enjoys having it read to him while exploring the animals. The story has a nice rhythm and rhymes to it.
There are a number of major retailers to buy this book at. Amazon sells it at this link. It can also be found at Walmart, here, and on this page at BuyBuyBaby.com.
It’s a fun book that will likely get a lot of usage in any home. I don’t have any complaints about it and the price is reasonable, around $11, and so I give it a five out of five stars.
